Anke Schouteden is a junior researcher at the Department of Political Sciences of Ghent University. She has a master’s degree in Public Management and Public Policy (2010, University College of Ghent) and holds a teacher’s degree (2012). She currently works on a PhD project (2012 – 2018) concerning the political representation of socially disadvantaged groups. She focuses on substantive representation in debates on poverty by using the grounded theory approach. Anke co-teaches introductory and specialized courses in the master and bachelor of the Public Management and Public Policy program and in the bachelor Political Sciences.
